Hechos Relevantes de la Fiesta “Peruvian Pisco Sours and Party 2009” organizada por lared
• lared es una plataforma de “networking” sin fines de lucro de peruanos profesionales viviendo en el extranjero. Los miembros de lared incluyen profesionales de organizaciones internacionales, (Banco Mundial, Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo – BID, OEA, etc.) y también de empresas publicas y privadas.
• Fiesta por la independencia del Perú con música en VIVO y la oportunidad de ganar premios
• Precios de descuento (happy hour prices) extendido, una oferta exclusiva por Gazuza para los asistentes a la fiesta de lared.

LARED’s “PERUVIAN PISCO SOURS AND PARTY 2009” TO FEATURE RENOWNED PERUVIAN MUSICIANS AND COMPOSERS
The *ONLY* Peruvian Party with LIVE Traditional Music and the Chance to Win Prizes via Raffle on July 28; Listed in Bisnow’s “Where to Be Scene”
July 24, 2009 – Washington, DC – lared today announced that its “Peruvian Pisco Sours and Party 2009” will be featuring Abel “Billy” Castillo, Juan Cayrampoma, and Rafael Rivera, three renowned Peruvian musicians and composers, who will be performing on Tuesday, July 28 at Gazuza with their unique traditional music from the Peruvian Andes in commemoration of Peruvian Independence Day 2009.
The party, which will take place in Washington, DC’s heart of Dupont Circle, will start at 6:00 pm Eastern Time, and is one of the few Peruvian parties on July 28 which have been listed in Bisnow’s “Where to Be Scene”, a publication widely read by top professionals and executives in the Greater Washington, DC area.
Abel (“Billy”) Castillo, an awarded Peruvian musician and composer, has an unmatched musical track record in Peru, several countries in Latin America, in the U.S., and in Rome, Italy where he presented his music at the Pope’s blessing ceremony at the Saint Peter plaza. Billy has received the “Grants” award by the Arts and Humanities Council of the Montgomery County. One of his latest accomplishments includes composing a musical piece in honor of Caitro Soto at the World Ensemble Group Theatre Arts Arena at the Montgomery College. Billy has participated with his music in several events with the Organization of American States (OAS), including a presentation at the “Arts in the Air” with the performer Alfredo Muro and another presentation at the Americas Salon at the OAS with the group Inka Wayra.
An independent producer is currently working on a documentary about Billy’s mission as a promoter of Latin American music. A jury at musical competition events, a member and director of several renowned musical groups in Peru, with several presentations in Peru, various countries in Latin America and Europe, and even an entrepreneur, Billy is without a doubt a true ambassador of the Peruvian and Latin American music around the world. Juan Cayrampoma, a renowned musician and composer from the musical group “Raymi”, he specializes in Peruvian Andean music, and particularly focused on playing air musical instruments from Peru, including the zampoña, quena, mosceños, tarkas, as well as the saxophone (alto).
Born in Lima, Peru, Juan also plays the guitar, the charango and the saxophone (alto). Juan has the unique ability to fusion Peruvian Andean music with the rhythms and sounds of the modern world, creating a sole message as to how mystic and captivating the Peruvian Andean music could be. Rafael Rivera, a Peruvian percussionist, specializes in playing the traditional Peruvian “box” (cajon) which gives a unique rhythm and depth to the sounds when playing Peruvian music. Born in Peru, Rafael dedicates his spare time to playing music and participating at different events to promote the richness of Peruvian music.
